Safety & Quality (HSEQ)
Inspection plans and MICs, skip-lot sampling, COA, Part 11–style e-signatures, change control, usage decisions, CAPA, NCR, supplier quality, and EHS.
Available with the Safety & Quality module. Lot quarantine, shelf life and recalls stay in Inventory because they are stock operations; HSEQ links to them. Quarantined lots cannot be picked or issued until a usage decision releases them.
Inspection plans (/hseq/inspection-plans)
Regulated inspection setup:
- MICs — master inspection characteristics (numeric or qualitative) with default limits and critical flags.
- Sampling procedures — fixed or percent sample sizes used when an inspection is created from a plan.
- Skip-lot schemes — reduce inspection frequency after consecutive passes; intensify after a fail.
- Plans — versioned plans by trigger (goods receipt, production, delivery, in-process) and optional product. Activate a version to make it live. Flags: require e-signature on complete, auto-generate COA on pass.
Document inspections prefer an active plan over a checklist template when both exist.
Inspections & NCR (/hseq/quality)
Checklist templates for goods receipt, production, delivery and site walks still apply when no plan matches. Site templates can be scheduled with an inspector; overdue inspections send reminders. Completing a plan-based inspection that requires e-sign asks for your password again (append-only signature audit). Failed checklist/MIC lines can raise an NCR, hazard or CAPA. You can generate a certificate of analysis (PDF) from a passed inspection.
Change control (/hseq/change-control)
Documented quality change requests (plans, MICs, sampling, SOPs). Workflow: draft → submit → approve with e-signature → implement with e-signature. Approvals and implementations are written to the electronic signature log.
Usage decisions (/hseq/usage-decisions) — UD
Queue of quarantined and failed lots. Each decision does the stock work for you:
- Release — lot becomes available again (not allowed for failed lots).
- Rework — lot stays held and a re-inspection is created; passing it releases the lot.
- Return to supplier — creates a draft purchase return for the lot; posting it ships the held stock out.
- Scrap — posts a goods issue (reason scrap) immediately.
- Use as-is — concession that needs approval from a second person with the approve right; then the lot is released.
CAPA (/hseq/capa) — CAPA
One CAPA can cover several NCRs, incidents, hazards or SCARs that share a root cause. Each action has an owner and a due date; owners can mark their own actions done and get reminders when overdue. When the last action is done, the CAPA moves to an effectiveness check 30–90 days later. Effective closes it; not effective reopens it for new actions.
Supplier quality (/hseq/suppliers)
- SCAR — corrective action request sent to the supplier portal (
/portal/scars). The supplier replies with containment, root cause, corrective and preventive actions; you accept or send it back. - Certificates — HACCP, ISO and others with expiry. Expired certificates marked blocking stop purchase orders and goods receipts from that supplier; others only warn. Reminders before expiry.
- Scorecard — inspection pass rate per supplier; it fills the quality line of supplier evaluations.
Safety (/hseq/safety)
Incidents and near-misses, hazards with likelihood × severity scored before and after controls, PPE issue, permits to work. Corrective actions are raised as CAPAs.
HR & Payroll
Core HCM — hierarchical org, leave accruals, benefits enrollment, workforce planning tied to manufacturing labor — plus contracts, T&E, attendance, timesheets, shifts, performance, training, payroll, and ATS.
Sustainability (ESG)
Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions from existing Uktupus data, energy, water and waste per site, workforce and community figures, governance, supplier ESG questionnaires, targets, data collection tasks and the yearly VSME report. Product carbon footprint, CBAM and packaging EPR / PPWR are add-ons.
